Wealth Is A State Of Mind
To continue the posting. Wealth is a state of mind. It is a choice to be wealthy. That works only if you can get it through your mind wealth is not based on what you have but what you spend. You may have lots of cash but if you are spending more than you have available, I would doubt if that could be called wealth.
That said I want you to know I am still in debt so even if I spend no more from this day on I still need to determine to pay down my debt. This is my credit card debt.
My wife says I shouldn't be too transparent when it comes to numbers. After all, this is being read by a whole group of people, all unknown to me. But what I can tell you is my Visa has a top limit of $10,000.00 and my Master Card has a top limit of $36,200.00 and I have stated that I am maxed out, so you can do the math. This can be referred to as bad debt because it is drawing money out of my cash flow not adding anything to it.
To better understand this see my earlier posts where I defined good debt-bad debt.. It is a definition I have made a choice to hold to.
Stored income is wealth. And of the stored income, what I spend, not the income, determines wealth. If I made the choice to spend each month to stay in the same place I am today, that is, to stay with the status quo I am not increasing my wealth.
As it is I have the burn factor of taxes and food to keep me needing to seek a means to get cash flow. Also the fixed cost of existence comes into play.
I am faced with the truth that it takes capital to capitalize when opportunities arise. See the earlier post to understand somewhat what I am getting at.
When you look at a purchase you must see it as an asset or a liability. An asset adds value in the form of cash flow to your life. The cost of the thing is the amount of life you are willing to give up to pay for it. Keep that in mind.
